EPD
EPD
WHAT IS IT
An Environmental Product Declaration – EPD is a standardized document, which refers to environmental impact of a product. Specifically, the EPD:
- Contains quantitative environmental data about products calculating specific indicators based on International Standards.
- Demonstrates manufacturer’s commitment to sustainability.
- Incorporates data of the manufacturing process, emphasizing use of recycled raw materials, recycling 100% of the waste generated in manufacturing process (scrap) as well as low energy consumption.
BENEFITS
- Offers the engineer transparent information about product environmental performances from a lifecycle perspective.

- Reflects the manufacturing process through which the product was produced with the aim to reduce energy consumption.

- Contributes to rating of various Green Building Rating Systems (eg LEED, BREEAM, DGNB) accelerating construction of low carbon buildings.

- Raises awareness of stakeholders confronting climate change.

- Meets the end user sustainability requirements.

EPD EUROPA
EUROPA has published 4 separate Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) concerning the following product categories:
EUROPA’s EPDs are:
- Inspected on a yearly basis by Accredited Certification Body, regarding any variances in Europa’s manufacturing process.
