MONEY SAVING
According to university research, the building sector is responsible for about 40% of total energy consumption at national and European level. Consumption, either in the form of thermal (mainly oil) or electrical power, results in a burden on the atmosphere with pollutants, mainly carbon dioxide (CO2), which are responsible for the greenhouse effect, leaving aside the considerable financial effects. In Greece, home heating constitutes 70% of the total energy consumption; the energy consumption only for the operation of home appliances, air conditioners and lighting, amounts to 18% of the total energy balance. With regards to heating, 36% of households use oil central heating, while the remaining 64% are autonomously heated homes, that use 25% oil, 12% electricity and 18% firewood. The difficult economic conjecture, making diesel price equal to heating oil and the Energy Efficiency Regulation of Buildings (KENAK) leads to people looking for effective ways to save energy and money. One of the main causes of heat loss in winter and cooling loss in summer, up to 35%, are the old frames and shutters of the homes and the lack of shading systems (pergola).

Europa proposes:
- Replacement of old frames with new Europa aluminium thermal insulation systems for doors and windows .
- Europa shading systems (roller shutters).
- Installation of Europa aluminium bioclimatic Pergola.
- Installation of Europa solar energy (P/V) systems on the ground or on the roofs of buildings .
- New construction of Passive house (www.passivehouse.com). See the EOS90 PH.SI Hybrid aluminium system for doors and windows.
- Installation of Europa “Smart Home” systems (remote controls).
