VACATION HOUSE IN ALIVERI

The design concept was to erode a monolithic volume that is compact on the external sides, providing protection and corroded internally where niches act as indoor inhabitable areas, protected but preserving vistas of the sea in front. The need to create a protective private space lead to an elegant solution that met the clients specific brief more than enough. As a result a complete and autonomous house was designed, that is used as a guest house to host the young family when visiting the grandparents.
The design was based on two principles: to create something beautiful and distinctive from its surroundings, yet attaining value for money. A key challenge for the interior architecture of this house was to harmonize the potential for expansiveness with the programmatic requirements of the brief.
