The new Hilton Chania Old Town Resort & Spa in Chania is one of the most significant new hospitality projects in Crete. The presence of an international brand such as Hilton is expected to further strengthen Chania’s identity as a tourist destination.

The project combines contemporary architecture with Crete’s unique natural and cultural landscape, creating a destination that appeals to discerning guests.

The architectural design capitalizes on the building’s relationship with the natural environment, light, views, and the sea. The outdoor spaces, pools, and dining areas are key elements of the overall experience. It features 85 elegant rooms and suites, each designed with privacy, exclusivity, and luxury in mind.

At the same time, the project is part of Crete’s broader evolution toward a tourism model that invests in quality, architecture, and the enhancement of services provided.

Particular emphasis was placed on modern requirements for environmental architecture and energy efficiency, as a large hotel complex is now expected to combine high aesthetic standards with a reduced environmental footprint and increased energy efficiency.

In keeping with these principles, Europa Profil Aluminum placed particular emphasis on selecting solutions that combine contemporary aesthetics, high quality, technical excellence, and high performance. More specifically, for the Hilton Chania Old Town Resort & Spa, the EOS 68 Hybrid Advanced system was selected for the majority of the project, in a configuration combining fixed and operable sections. Special emphasis was placed on the system to provide enhanced thermal insulation, while particular attention was also given to sound insulation, resulting in high performance. The selection of this specific series meets the architectural requirements of each space while simultaneously addressing functional needs.

Additionally, the following series were used in the construction: A40 SL, a stacked system with a lift-and-slide mechanism that delivers corresponding thermal insulation performance, and the EFD 77 Hybrid, a folding system designed for main multi-purpose spaces and customer lounges.

Architectural aluminum systems for opening enclosures (sliding, casement, and folding windows), facade systems combined with shading systems and peripheral systems (roller shutters, screens) make up Europa Profil Aluminum’s specialized product line for hotel solutions.

The new Hilton in Chania is not just another hotel development; it is a modern architectural project and a tourism investment that sets a new benchmark for the region.
